Master Page

Group

Incoporated Bootstrap into the website to allow a more attractive look to the website. This includes support for mobile devices.
Added in an external CSS stylesheet.
Added in a responsive navigation.
Added a plugin called Lity, which allows images, videos and iFrames to be displayed in a lightbox. Compulsory JS - Done By Harry
Added in a jQuery script which allows all pages to fade into the screen when clicked on. Compulsory JS - Done By Umang

Index

Group

Designed the layout to be more appealing to the user.
Displayed the book covers (in order) to depict to the user the publications she's known for.
Added quick links to three of the main pages (Publications, Reviews, Contact).
Added Lity to the three book cover images. When clicked they open in a lightbox.

Biography

Group

Copy and pasted the content from the Biography page on the old website into the new website.

Publications

Harry

Uses Bootstrap tabs to show the various books from The Hunger Games trilogy.
When clicked:

The title of the book is displayed.
The book cover is displayed.
The book's synopsis is displayed.
A buy button to purchase the book is displayed.

The buy button is linked to a page that uses the URL shortening service, SmartURL.it.
Using SmartURL's Retail Link function, when the page is loaded it prompts the user to select their preferred retailer to purchase the book. The ones used for this website are:

Apple iTunes/iBooks Store
Amazon
Google Play Books
Barnes & Noble (USA)
Target (USA)

If the user selects Apple iTunes/iBooks Store as their preferred retailer, SmartURL will automatically detect which country they're from and redirect them to their local iTunes Store. For example:

Added Lity to the book cover images and buy buttons. They will open in a lightbox when the user clicks on them.
When a book title is selected from the tabs, the book's content is then displayed using a slide right animation. Compulsory CSS3 - Done By Harry

Reviews

Umang

Copy and pasted some reviews from the individual book pages on the old website into the new website.
Used Bootstrap blockquotes (both standard and reversed) to properly display book reviews.
Used a CSS3 animation to make the reviews slide in from different sides of the page. Compulsory CSS3 - Done By Umang

Contact

Group

Added in contact page into the new website as the old website did not have means of contacting the author.
